About DrHiccups

DrHiccups is an independent health-education website focused on one everyday topic: hiccups. We explain why they happen, which gentle techniques people try, what to avoid, and when to seek medical help.

What DrHiccups is not

  • Not a clinic or medical practice. “DrHiccups” is a brand name. It does not mean that content is written by a physician.
  • Not a source of personal medical advice. We cannot diagnose or treat you.

How we work

We write original articles from reputable public health sources and list the references. We say plainly when evidence is limited, and we do not promise results. Read the editorial policy for the full standards and the medical disclaimer.

Who writes this

We do not display author or reviewer credentials unless they are genuine and verified. At the moment no clinician review is claimed. If that changes, the reviewer’s name, credentials and review date will appear on the pages they reviewed.

How the site is funded

DrHiccups is supported by sales of an optional video guide. All safety information remains free. Any future advertising will be clearly labelled and will not change what we write.
